Do Banner Advertisements Really Work Effectively?
73Google Adsense is one of the best ways to promote your business since all you have to do is post Google’s ads on your website and drive traffic to make money. Nobody even has to buy anything; they just have to click on your ads. You get to pick what kind of ad to put on your site and some of them perform better than others. The banner advertisement is considered to be one of the least effective ones to use; however, this is not true. Most banner advertisements are placed on the landing or home page, providing an opportunity for the owner to make money by when the visitor clicks on it.

For example, I personally use banner advertisements and I’ve found them to be very effective right in the line of sight where your visitor is looking to find information; it could be at the top, in the middle or at the bottom, as long as it is near crucial information. I’ve also noticed that image banners are much more effective than banners with text. Since we aren’t used to seeing them so much, they still have a tendency of popping off the page.

Many marketers place their banners right in the middle of the homepage get lots of traffic; this strategy will help you promote your product efficiently. If you have proper banner advertisements in the correct area on your website, then you have no need to work in other advertising programs such as Google Adwords. It also helps if the page you put the banner on is appealing anyway, so that the banner will just add to it. This will helps you to get more people to click on the banner so that you get paid. The more you able to attract your visitors, the more chance you have of making them return.
Split-test your banners to see which place is the most effective for your website. Place one banner at the top, one banner in the middle and one at the bottom and then switch it up by taking out one so that you only have two. See how much you make that month. Then take out another banner and put the original one back in (the same position of course) and see how much money you make that month. It is important to experiment and do split-tests so that you can see where on your website you should place your banner to make the most amount of money.
Although I know for a fact that banner advertisements do work, you shouldn’t put all your eggs into one basket; be sure you have other Adsense ads on your website as well. You want to see if other ads perform more effectively to give you the most amount of money possible.
